YoroPencils and YoroCrayons! This ingenious design (which makes us think of offset holders for pointed pens) was actually invented to help children with fine motor difficulties handle a writing tool easily. By accident, tools that make calligraphers happy were invented!

The straight pencil lead (2B, 1mm wide) is recommended for practicing the motions of Spencerian and other pointed pen hands. The second, wider lead (2B, 2mm wide) is amazing for broad edge style writing. Make a broad down stroke on the sharpened side” of the point, and then use the point for a high contrast, much thinner upstroke. Vary the pressure for lighter or deeper graphite texture. Experiment. Try it on textured papers.
