"Don't Forget to Sing in the Lifeboats" by Kathryn & Ross Petras

Great Quotes, Uncommon Wisdom for Uncommon Times collected by the authors of "Age Doesn't Matter Unless You are a Cheese".

This one is on the way to becoming my personal favorite. Great advice from sages from the ages past and present. Marvelously hopefully, real and appropriate as a gift for our times. Here are a few samples:

"The first rule of holes: when you're in one, stop digging." Molly Ivins.

"We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time." Vince Lombardi.

"You miss 100% of the shots you never take." Wayne Gretzky, hockey player.

"There must be more to life than having everything." Maurice Sendak.

A great companion to Lisa's new book Modern Mark Making. This is the only DVD that we are aware of at this time that teaches Italic calligraphy. Following instruction for the alphabet, Lisa uses Pilot Parallel Pens, Speedball nibs, acrylic inks, metallic powders, Zig markers and stamps and stencils to create her Bali Lantern project. Along the way you see Lisa lay down washes and add lettering in rich, bright colors to create a lantern for a special occasion or gift.
