  • Great Pens, Meh Colors 4

I bought the full 24 pack of these markers, since I heard that the tips were great for hand lettering. Compared to some of its competitors, like the Tombow fudenosuke, or the Writech brush pens, I’ve found these are a bit clumsier and floppier. The color selection in this basic set really doesn’t do it for me either. It’s a great representation of the basic rainbow colors, but not something I’m not crazy about. I definitely recommend their more recent set of 12 jewel/pastel tones if fun and creative color options are to be desired. As far as how they write: they’re clumsier than other markers because the tip is longer and floppier than other small brush markers. This makes them harder to control. But from a structural and quality standpoint, these are great markers that I know will last. Love to practice with them and take them on the go.
