Yamamoto Paper Tasting Notepad Set of 3, Onionskin vol.1

These delightful paper sets from Yamamoto allow you to enjoy a flight of writing papers the same way you might enjoy a flight of fine wines and spirits. Each paper tasting set includes 3 notepads that share similar qualities, but each have their own distinct personality. Comprehensive and informative descriptions are included for each paper in both English and Japanese.

Each notepad is gluebound at the top and contains 25 pages. This set includes the following papers in the following sizes:

• B7 (3.5” × 4.9”) 35NFC: A food-grade oil-resistant paper. Most oil-resistant paper use plastic film or fluorine resin, but these are not the most environmentally friendly. 35NFC avoids these materials and produces its oil-resistancy through overlapping layers of highly dense paper. The regular paper absorbs oil immediately on contact, but with 35NFC, there is no absorption even after 30 minutes. Our ink tests showed a longer than normal dry time, but great color representation and no bleed-through.
  
• A6 (4.1” x 5.8”) Typewriter Paper: It is important for typewriter paper to be thin and durable. This Typewriter Paper is made to handle the strong strikes of the typewriter keys, able to show-through crisp letters even if stacked five sheets thick.
  
• B6 (4.9” × 6.9”) Champion Copy: Developed to provide high translucency and sturdiness for use in the diazo copying process. It is also suitable for offset and letterpress printing.
