Peach McComb's classes teach beginning watercolor, drawing, and painting from life over several sessions. Participants will use a limited watercolor palette so they will learn how to mix colors and achieve different effects. Painting and sketching will be done on 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper.
Classes will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. $300 covers all six sessions.

How to paint color wheels to begin to understand color temperature and mixing color to get what you want
How to use a small selection of watercolor brushes; round, flat, and rigger, and how to paint different brushstrokes with each brush
How to paint graduated and flat washes on dry and wet paper
Glazing with watercolors; using water to make the paint transparent and glaze over other colors (use thin layers to get the color you want
How to use common items for special effects; salt, Kosher salt, tissue, paper towels, brushes
How to see objects to compose a painting, understand perspective, and contour drawing
How to sketch objects
How to paint impressionistically and loosely, and then fill in enough detail to make the painting realistic
