Advanced Spencerian - Intermediate
The classic Spencerian form is quite beautiful, but by adding well-formed and executed flourished capitals, the possibilities are endless! In this workshop, we will study a variety of beautifully decorated capitals, learning how to construct them by adding additional layers to the basic form of the letters and varying the placement of the dramatic shading. Exercises will help our understanding and build muscle memory. Techniques such as repeated ovals, spirals, alternate ending and beginning forms will complete our study.

Oblique pen holder.Your favorite pointed pen nibs - Hunt 22 or Zebra G nib is ideal for beginners, others recommended are Hunt 56, Gillott 303 or 404, any of the G nibs, or Leonardt Principal. Sumi Moon Palace, McCaffreys Black, or Walnut Ink. Canson Pro-Marker Pad, 9x12.
