Item #: B4376
$22.95

The bent pen nib was originally created to fulfill the need to write Gothic-style letterforms quickly and efficiently. Although many calligraphers are familiar with and often use the Speedball C nib, this book from Randall Hasson visually explores the lettering possibilities of Speedball Series-A, Series-B, and Series-D nibs, showing both early lettering styles using these writing tools as well as Michael Clark's contemporary B-nib styles. Full alphabets are shown along with example of styles in use. Great for intermediate to advance calligraphers who have not explored these nibs, or who are looking for inspiration.

“These tools . . . can be used to make letters with uniqueness, grace, and virtuosity. They, with proper use and understanding of their mechanics, open up wide possibilities for lettering. They provide the lettering artist with a wider array of effects from which ti choose in order to accomplish a specific visual goal.” –– Introduction, Randall Hasson.
