Kraft-Tex, White

Get ready to work with Kraft Tex, a rugged, fiber-based material that looks and feels like leather but sews, cuts, and washes like fabric! It's strong, flexible, and perfect for sewing projects, mixed-media art, home décor, bookmaking, and more. The texture softens and crinkles with handling or washing for a unique, worn-in look.

Kraft Tex can be embossed, machine embroidered, hand-embroidered, distressed, printed on with an ink-jet printer, painted with acrylics, dyed, colored with shoe polish, waxed with paste wax, stamped, drawn on, and so much more.

• Stamping, printing, and embossing work best on unwashed Kraft Tex.
• Slightly dampen before embossing for best results.
• Use an acrylic-based medium to set ink for permanent designs.

This Kraft Tex does not come pre-washed. For best results with some techniques, machine wash your Kraft Tex to give it more flexibility, texture, and make it easier to sew. Crumple the Kraft Tex before placing it in your washing machine. Crumple again before putting it in your dryer. Remove while still damp and lay flat to complete drying. Detergent is optional. Iron on the cotton setting if you would like to flatten out the Kraft Tex.

• Both colorfast and light-fast.
• Most easily cut with a rotary cutter, acrylic rulers, and a cutting mat.
• When sewing, use binder clips or quilt binding clips to hold the layers together. Pins will leave perforations.
• 0.55mm thick and will not tear easily.„
• Most adhesives can be used, but testing a small amount first is recommended.
• Greener than vinyl and more animal-friendly than leather. A cellulose-based product with a small amount of synthetic latex. 100% recyclable.

• 19” x 1 yd CUT TO ORDER: This item is the one to order if you want Kraft-Tex cut to specific length for a project. For example: Do you need 7yd of Kraft Tex? Order quantity 7 of this item and we will cut a bolt down to exactly 10" x 7yd for you.
• 19” x 1.5 yd ROLL: This item is the one to order if you don't have a specific project in mind, want to try the material, or don't need very much Kraft Tex for your particular project.
• 19” x 10 yd BOLT: This item comes packaged in a bolt from the manufacturer and can be cut down by the user if needed.
