These were the first granulating watercolors I’ve used. I’ve already bought a second set bc my other one ran out. I use it for my underpainting for watercolor and gouache. I use it with a lot of water and it’s very beautifully blended or I’ll lay it on really thick and it Becomes very experimental but it’s so Fun to play with. I’ve used it on cotton paper for best results. I’ve used it on cheaper paper just to see what happens, it’s interesting. I cut up the sheet to use for junk journaling or for scrapbooking and to be truthful I think it comes out better on the cheaper stuff bc of all the texture and teeth of the paper, whereas, I have hot pressed cotton and it’s nice and pretty and smooth.

These watercolors are amazing. They are granulating and looks all together different after they dry. Beautiful colors. Not like any other watercolor.

I am so pleased with the Gansai Tambi Granulating Watercolors! They are beautiful and look completely different when dry. The hidden colors expand out and separate making a gorgeous painting experience. Very pleased with my purchase! Thank you!
