Pearl Ex is possibly our most versatile product. These inert pigments can be mixed with any viscous medium to produce a pearlescent effect, including gum arabic, glues, oils, acrylics, encaustic, alcohol inks, polymer clays, printing inks, varnishes, and more. Pearl Ex is extremely lightfast and stable, and will never tarnish or fade. Different particle sizes produce different effects, from a smooth pearly luster to a highly metallic sheen. Pearl Ex pigments can be used for interior, exterior, and archival applications, and adhere to polymer clay, encaustics, paper, shrink plastic, leather, glass, canvas, and wood. Adhere to natural and synthetic fabrics when mixed with a binder.
