Syrupy thick, smooth & dense.
This slightly concentrated brand of Sumi-e allows for greater control over density. It is about the same consistency of a thin printing ink and generally needs a small amount of water, or medium to flow nicely with a brush. Once thinned, it maintains a smooth, even black all the way through the most transparent wash. The color hues are very faint, only giving the slightest hint of warm/cool. The Boku Undo Sumi-e has been my favorite brand of ink for +30 years!
