As most sources mention, each marker has the same large brush tip at both ends. Each marker has the same color on both ends, but one side is a 10% tint of the color. This is fun for color matching with shading/highlights, as the colors are made to go together. It’s also really fun to have several extremely light color options (the grays and warm tones in particular). These markers are the great quality to be expected from ZIG products, but tips definitely fray pretty quickly with use—as do most brush markers—and it would actually be nice to have each brush tip on it’s own marker, for art where both tips are needed at the same time. I also have a really old set whose tips are complete mush and colors have faded terribly, so a good reminder these are not incredibly lightfast and should be stored/taken care of properly. I don’t know the history of the old set, but It’s unlikely they were used much or sitting in the sun for a prolonged period. It seems these markers may just have a tendency to break down over time. That being said, this line of markers is still one of my favorites and most fun to use due to the sturdiness of the tip as well as the unique color selection. The tip bounces back well when doing things like handlettering and the full colors are extremely vibrant (true red, true blue, etc). Plus, this pack will give all the colors this line of markers offers at a pretty reasonable price compared with other places. Just buy them here and get your rewards points—it’s probably the best deal around in the long run.
