Join Miranda for a fun and relaxing time of painting inspired by traditional spontaneous-style Chinese brush painting.
Traditional Chinese brush painting artists seek to capture the spirit of nature. The technique encourages imagination and asks you to paint what you want to see, not what you actually see.
Students discover this technique to be a calming and mindful way to paint. Each stroke is made with intention, purpose, and love.
You will learn to paint:
- Week 1: Cacti & Thistles
- Week 2: Sunflowers, Coneflowers, & Daisies
- Week 3: Wisteria & Fuchsia
- Week 4: Hydrangeas & Morning Glories
You will leave with:
- 2–4 small paintings and a few postcards.
- Digital handouts with step-by-step instructions.
Supply List:
- Medium Silver Brush Ruby Satin® Synthetic Triangle Brush
- 1 round brush, size 4, 6 or 8 (optional)
