Perfect fit with Caran D'ache 114 penholder
I purchased these metal inserts hoping that they would fit Caran D'ache straight penholders. And they do, perfectly. The Caran D'ache ferrules are good for larger nibs, but they do not hold small nibs well (e.g. Brause 66EF). After replacing C'd ferrules with these metal inserts, now the penholders can be used with large(r) and small(er) nibs equally well. Yay!
