Suzanne Cunningham - Imperial Script
Imperial Script is a Copperplate variation that contains fine hairlines, bold shades, and long swashes. It has spacing that extends very wide on certain letters, and this helps give it such a unique look. It is SUPER fun, eas- ily recognizable, and one of Suzannes favorite hands to write! A basic knowledge of Copperplate letterforms is helpful, but not required. However, an understanding of how to use a pointed pen is necessary and will ensure that you have a successful and enjoyable class.
- Pointed pen (oblique or straight)
- Flexible nib (Hunt 101, Gillott 303, Leonardt Principal Extra Fine, or any nib that isnt stiff)
- Your favorite practice ink (Suzanne will be using walnut)
- Canson Pro Layout Marker Paper (or whatever you prefer that is translucent)
- other typical workshop essentials like paper towel, rinse water, etc.
- NOTE: Suzanne will provide 5 mm guidelines to place under paper.
