Janet Takahashi - Exploring Simple Color Palettes
Color is a significant force in creating design and controlling mood. Janet will present her step-by-step system to enhance your pen work by infusing color. Learn how to create dynamic effects, harmony, and unity using a limited color palette. With brush and pointed pen, we will paint Louis XVI-inspired acanthus leaves while exploring four+ different color palettes: Delicate, Bright, Southwest, and Renaissance. The study charts you create will free you to select colors on future projects without time-consuming guesswork. Note: A $15 materials fee will be collected at the beginning of class (cash, or check payable to Janet Takahashi). All students will receive Janets custom color kit, including palettes and a selection of artist grade watercolors for mixing the colors to be used in class.
