Come explore the playful side of watercolor! Join this explorative journey through watercolor and all its expressive forms. There is so much that this medium can do. Watercolor is often used in calligraphy projects, and this class will walk through all the various, playful techniques that it has to offer.
Students will gain confidence in expressive skills with the medium, learn to let loose, be in the flow, and experience the magic that is watercolor.
CLASS SUPPLIES
- Watercolor set (pans or tubes) with at least:
- Two cool tones (blues, greens)
- Two warm tones (reds, yellows)
- Watercolor brushes (any will do, but a medium round brush is most useful)
- Watercolor paper pad (cold-pressed preferred; we will go through a good amount of paper, have at least half a pad's worth)
- Water vessel for rinsing brushes
- Paper towel or drying rag
- Palette or plate (if using tube paint)
