Pilot Metropolitan Fine Nib Fountain Pen, Turquoise with Dot Accent

Item #: pilotmr---ftq
$25.49
We cant recommend this pen highly enough. The Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen is about as durable and low maintenance as they get. A larger diameter for an easier grip, metal body in satin finish, an ideal weight and balance designed to exert pressure perfectly on paper without tiring the hand. Smooth writing and easy to use, at under $20 this pen is an obvious choice for anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of fountain pens. Coming in a variety of colors and styles this pen makes an excellent gift.

  • My new favorite fountain pen 5

After many years (~30) of not using a fountain pen for everyday writing, I purchased three. This is by far the best of the three. It was reasonably priced and writes smoothly on different kinds of paper. The ink flows well using a cartridge (I haven't tried it with the converter yet). The fun barrel/cap colors (I bought turquoise) are a bonus. I have yet to carry it around in my pocketbook and, when I do, will probably put it in a zipper bag at first (just in case) but I don't expect to have a leakage problem. Overall this pen is a good value and very pleasant to write with after a disappointing experience with a Cross fountain pen that cost almost 40% more. I'll probably buy a couple more in different colors for use with different color inks.
