For advanced calligraphers
The LP is a high quality nib for sure, but not so friendly to beginners. The thin upstrokes are really thin, but also scratches the paper more than beginner nibs like hunt 22b. The nib itself is also a lot more flexible, making it harder to control. I'd recommend it to advanced calligraphers who already have good technique. MS.

not for beginners
Definetely not for beginners... But once you get to intermediate level, it's just so beautiful to write with. Creates amazing thin and thick strokes, which makes it good for Copperplate. I think it's not for all kind of inks either. Some inks work fine, others don't that well.
