Uncut Hardened-Cured Goose Quill

These goose quills are hardened (using the overtime hardening method of curing) but not cut in any way. We are currently offering these ready to finish quills at this stage of the curing process. You will still need to cut the outer membrane on the quill and then cut to your desired style of tip. These goose quills are hand-selected for suitability for calligraphy. These are 12-13" quills with larger diameter staffs with thick walls. (They are not selected for their decorative condition.) Quills are very light, very flexible, and deliver a wide variety of media easily -- thick gesso, creamy gouache or thin ink.
