The Dashing Madarasz Script by Schin Loong – Level: Intermediate.
Join in on the swirling fun of this shaded script developed by Master Penman Louis Madarasz (1859-1910)! Originating from Spencerian Script, this is a quick and bold approach to creating beautiful shaded letterforms using a pointed pen. We will study the full lower and upper case alphabets and its variations in this dashing style, and work on exercises to strengthen the foundational strokes. We will also flourish in the Madarasz way to make the lines of your script swirl together for a striking romantic look. Be ready to approach lettering in a fun, spontaneous and serendipitous manner! Participants will complete the workshop with practical final projects and renewed confidence in their pointed pen scripts.
