I purchased this holder because I have several nibs that are too small for the more traditionally-sized pen holders I currently have. I even read one review on here that said that these can be used with crowquill nibs, so I was extra excited about that, as I have several nibs of both styles that need smaller holders. I didn’t really find that this holder fit any of my small nibs though, and its shape certainly doesn’t hold crowquill nibs. Maybe I’m just not getting how to use this properly, because they have so many other great reviews. But even when I used it with the Brause nib it comes with, I still found it really annoying to write with. The metal adapter that holds the nib sticks way out from the end of the holder, preventing my hand from being as close to the paper as I need it to be in order to write. All in all, I haven’t found much these are actually useful for and I’d definitely not recommend them.
